Art is taught as an integral part of classroom activity.
Every classroom has a variety of art supplies, and students are encouraged to create visual representations of what they are studying, for example, illustrating a story, a drawing or model connected to a science or social studies unit, a drawing to help in the solution of a math problem.
Students also have opportunities to explore various artistic media and to create art for its own sake and as a means of self-expression.
